Three Steps To Inner Freedom
An internally free person knows what they want, how to get it, and is willing to overcome obstacles. As soon as we say someone else is to blame for something not working out, it doesn’t matter if it’s a person or circumstances. We’re giving up our responsibility. It means that someone or something else controls us. And if someone or something else controls us, then we’re already bonded people, and we don’t have any inner freedom. So, how to become an internally free person?
Step one: know what to want
Do you ever notice that when you know what you want, you always have the strength and energy to get it? All of our true desires start with our needs. Once we figure out what we need, we have the energy to get it. So if we always want the energy to realize our desires, we must learn how to identify our needs. Not just “I want”, but “I need”. If the need matches what we want, we will feel good about getting it. Notice your strongest emotions. Strong positive emotions arise when our needs are met, and the strongest negative emotions arise when our needs are not satisfied.
Step two: know how to implement motives
The ability to get what you want or do what you want will depend on your preparation and knowledge of “how to get what you want.” Be responsible for your motives and find an effective way to implement them. It is what a person who is free inside usually does. A person who does not have inner freedom will look for someone else to blame.
From a desire to a result, it is necessary to go through four stages:
- Definition of need;
- Playing ways to satisfy the need for thinking;
- Implementation of external actions;
- Result.
It is not enough to meet our needs to get what we want and feel free. We also need the strength to overcome obstacles.
Step three: the will to overcome obstacles
Being happy that you overcame something is a sign that you have willpower. And the good feeling you get from overcoming obstacles helps to educate your willpower. So every time you face a difficult situation, remember that if you overcome it, the experience will strengthen your willpower.
The best way to do this is to have a goal in mind and then work towards it step by step. Stay true to yourself and your goals, and avoid being discouraged when difficulties arise. Every obstacle has a solution, and if you are determined to find it, you will be successful.
Remember that the path to inner freedom starts with knowing what you need and wanting it, learning how to achieve it, and having the willpower to overcome any obstacles. With this combination, you can easily become an internally free person.
